Hey Challenge Fam:
We hope you are safe and enjoying spring break the best you can considering the pandemic going on. We want to let you know we are praying for you, and we believe that in the midst of normal life being so disrupted God could use this time to draw you closer and build your faith like never before.
So if everything being cancelled and the prospect of not returning to school after break frees up some of your time we encourage you to use that time to grow in Christ. And for that purpose we want to connect you to some resources.
First off, if you have internet we want to give you login information for rightnowmedia.org which is basically the Netflix of bible study videos! To log in just go to rightnowmedia.org click log in and put adamsstatechallenge@gmail.com as the e-mail and study2020 as the password. Right Now Media has a ton of great content but some of our top picks on that site include: Philippians: to Live Is Christ, To Die is Gain with Matt Chandler (and pretty much anything by Matt Chandler), The Book of Colossians with Louie Giglio, Unlocking the Mysteries of Genesis, The Book of Titus with Chip Ingram, The Book of Jonah with Eric Mason, and Shaken by Tim Tebow.
We also think that this may be one of the greatest times in recent history to share the gospel now that everyone is realizing that what they usually trust in actually can’t be relied on. So our evangelism page has some resources to equip you for that: www.challengeasu.com/evangelism You’ll need to adapt to share the gospel via social media etc. now that sharing in person is being minimized with social distancing.
Of course most important is spending time with God, so don’t quit having a daily time in God’s word and prayer. And if you haven’t ever started memorizing scripture you can start now. There is a link for how to memorize scripture on our resources page at: www.challengeasu.com/resources And on that same page you’ll find some other useful links including my favorite bible teaching YouTube channel etc.
And if you want some book suggestions my top picks are: the following titles by A.W. Tozer: The Pursuit of God, The Purpose of Man, The Knowledge of the Holy, and The Crucified Life. You can get three of those books in one for about $8 at christianbook.com
Oh and movie recommendations: Is Genesis History (not entertainment but very enriching), The 3 God’s Not Dead movies, Overcomer, The Case For Christ, Risen, and Paul Apostle of Christ, are all great.
